In the summer of 2006, I surveyed several homes that were formally or currently sites of illegal orphanages (Casa Cunas) in Guatemala. To convey a sense of psychological interiority to the Casa Cuna phenomenon, I shared stories and poems with Barry Doupe, who in turn created a series of animations.
